splash of magic

First released in 1985, Splash of Magic is back where it belongs.

If you were around The Zoo Gallery in the mid-80s, chances are you remember this design—part whimsy, part edge, and all Zoo. Printed once again by Greg of Serigraphia in Ft. Walton Beach, who’s been behind our tees since the very beginning, this reissue is a direct line back to those early days when Zoo Tees became part of the culture on the Gulf Coast.

Check out one of our Zookeepers, Rhonda.

To mark its return, we’re sharing a piece of Zoo history: Rhonda and her husband Tim on their honeymoon in Tahiti, 30+ years ago. Rhonda first worked at The Zoo Gallery in high school, and today she’s back with us on 30A. If you’ve met her, you know exactly why we feel so lucky to have her here again.

'Life is Weird' Tee // Sage

Own the original black version which is great. Really love the color and different back graphic on this version. This is a thicker LA Apparel tee, pre washed & very nice. Another great Zoo tee!

Nice Dogs Strange People // Black Cat Tips

Was so happy to find this adult version of the Zoo and Black Cat collaboration that was originally just for the kiddos. My family has been visiting the Zoo Gallery’s various locations nearly since they opened in 1979 and we’ve collected several of the shirts over the years (along with Roxy’s prints). Now my daughter does too. Roxy, Bax and family are awesome artists with a wonderful and whimsically curated shop of various handmade items. We look forward to visiting every year on vacay. Here’s to another 40+ years!

Grayton Beach

Always an adorable spot to stop by while visiting the area! I’ve been stopping in here during the summer time for well over 10 years and always love browsing here. Whether jewelry, incense, or any of the other interesting art objects in the shop- a trip to the Zoo Gallery is always an odd joy
